Publisher Description
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
AdHawk is your connection to a variety of hyper-local content, promotions, and interactivity. When AdHawk detects the presence of a 'beacon' it will provide a notification with the option to view more information related to that beacon.
What is a beacon? Beacons are tiny Bluetooth based radio devices which emit a unique signal. When placed strategically throughout a retail environment, for example, they can be used to tailor unique experiences for customers.
AdHawk is designed to be non-intrusive and simply waits in the background for a nearby beacon to be detected. It's important to note that battery use is conserved by enabling radio only when in the vicinity of a beacon.
